If you have decided to purchase a Wireless Printer then there are many of them out there for you to choose from with different features, pros and cons.
My personal favorite would probably be the Brother HL-2170W. It is a laser printer as opposed to an ink jet. I prefer this because laser printers are usually quieter, faster, have a shorter warmup and although they tend to have a slightly higher price tag you can easily make up that cost with the cheaper toner than regular ink cartridges. It has a built in wireless card to allow you to use wireless networks but it also has a wired interface if you don’t have a wireless network. It can print 23 pages per minute and it has it’s own 32MB memory for storage. It is star energy compliant (environmentally friendly), is very easy to setup and can turn out very high quality prints. If you follow the link below to Amazon you will also see that it is very popular, it has around 350 customer reviews with an average rating of 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
Another Wifi printer I would recommend is the Lexmark X4650 Wireless All-In-One Printer. It is incredibly easy to set up and connect it to your Wireless network. As well as printing in up to 18 color or 25 black pages per minute it has a built in scanner and has a slot for the memory card from your digital camera to print your pictures. It is also relatively popular with an average customer review rating of 4/5 from Amazon.com.
You can pick it up new for $72.95 from Amazon.com
Another Wireless Printer that works well is the Brother MFC-490CW Color Inkjet All-In-One Printer. Like the Lexmark X4650 it is easy to set up and connect to your wifi network. It is a bit faster at up to 27 color or 33 black pages per minute. It can still print photos from digital memory cards and has a built in scanner but unlike the Lexmark X4650 it also has a built in fax machine. The average customer rating of this is also 4/5.
At $118.90 from Amazon it is a bit more expensive than the Lexmark but if you need the added functionality of a fax machine it is definitely worth it.
Of course there is no need to take my word for it, it would definitely be a smart idea to do a bit more research through the links provided, other sites or even go to an electronics store and talk to them about what Wireless printer would be the best fit for you.
